The team behind Redwood Academy

Redwood Academy teaches kids and teens aged 10–18 to build real software with AI, and to understand every line of what they ship.

We started Redwood in Cambridge in 2025 because the way software gets built changed faster than the way it gets taught. AI now writes a large share of professional code, and the people who do well are the ones who can direct it, check it and explain what it produced.

Every class is live, small (six students at most) and taught by a coach. Students build real projects with AI tools, then walk their coach through their own code each week. If they cannot explain it, the lesson is not finished.
