Privacy Policy

Effective July 22, 2026

Redwood Academy (“Redwood Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) runs live, small-group AI coding courses for students roughly ages 10 to 18. This policy explains what information we collect through redwoodacademy.ai and our programs, how we use it, and the choices you have. Because our students are minors, we take particular care with the information families share with us.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We receive a payment reference, the amount, and the contact and student details you supplied so we can confirm and deliver your enrollment.

Student work and AI coding tools

Our courses teach students to build real projects using AI coding tools. When a student writes prompts, code, or project content while using these tools, that content may be sent to the third-party AI and infrastructure providers that power the tool in order to generate responses. We instruct students not to enter personal, sensitive, or identifying information into AI tools, and we do not use student work to train our own models. Each tool’s own privacy terms govern how that provider handles the content it receives.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (for example, Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used and to improve it. This data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify individual children.

2. How we use your information

We send marketing or program-update emails only if you ask to hear from us, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link.

3. How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate, and only as needed to provide our services:

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our students, families, or Redwood Academy.

4. Children’s privacy

Our programs are intended for students roughly ages 10 to 18, and enrollment is always completed by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. The account and contact details we hold belong to the parent or guardian, and we limit the student information we collect to what we need to teach the class. If you believe a child has provided us information without your consent, contact us at hello@redwoodacademy.ai and we will delete it.

5. Data security

We use encrypted connections and access-restricted storage, and we work with established providers who maintain their own security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you entrust to us.

6. Your rights and choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold, or to restrict how we use it. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To make a request, email hello@redwoodacademy.ai and we will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. Stripe may set cookies to secure payments, and any analytics we use may set cookies to measure site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
