About this course

Six sessions across the two weeks of winter break (Dec 21–30), and every camper walks away with a working web app on a real, shareable link. The camp starts with the thing every other AI class skips: what an AI model is actually doing when it answers you, why it can be confidently wrong, and how the words you choose steer the result. From there it is all building: students turn an idea into a brief, generate a starter app, redesign it, add a real feature, and present it on the final day. It is scoped so a complete beginner finishes something they are proud to show, and structured so nobody spends two hours watching a screen.

Is this the right fit?

Who it’s for
Beginners aged 10–17 who want a winter break with something concrete to show for it. Two age bands run in parallel (10–13 and 14–17) on the same arc, scaled to the group.
Prerequisites
None. Students need a computer, a stable connection, and a parent willing to hold the tool account.
Tools students use
Lovable (lovable.dev) and an AI chat assistant, on parent-owned or supervised accounts
Where it leads
Most students go on to AI App Course I.

Class schedule

Four weekly time slots: three for families in the Gulf and Asia (Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon in Dubai) and one for the Americas. Pick the one that fits; a coach confirms it when you enroll.

What students walk away with

  • A published web app on a shareable URL: a profile site, quiz, tracker, or mini game
  • A working mental model of what AI is: a prediction machine that has to be checked, not trusted
  • The four prompting moves (clear instruction, context, examples, iteration) used on their own project
  • A short prompt journal of the best instructions they wrote
  • A live two-minute demo they present on the final day

What a session looks like

  1. 0:00

    Warm-up

A quick prompting challenge to open the session: rewrite a weak prompt and watch the output change.

  2. 0:15

    New idea

The day's concept, taught live and immediately demoed on a real tool.

  3. 0:35

    Build block

Campers work on their own app while coaches circulate. This is most of the session.

  4. 1:35

    Share

A couple of students demo the day's progress; everyone logs what they added.

Curriculum

1

Session 1: What is AI, really?

AI as a prediction machine: it guesses the next word, so it can be confidently wrong. The prompt is the steering wheel. The bad-prompt-vs-good-prompt game.

2

Session 2: The prompting toolkit

Clear instruction, context, examples, iterate. Zero-shot vs. one-shot. Each camper writes a one-paragraph brief for the app they will build.

3

Session 3: Your first app

Turn the brief into a first prompt in Lovable and generate a starter app. The golden rule: build in small steps and review each change.

4

Session 4: Make it yours

Visual editing and chat edits to restyle and add sections. Version history as a safety net: preview, keep, or undo.

5

Session 5: Add a real feature

A working button, a form, a score counter, or a saved list. Front-end vs. back-end, explained as the part you see vs. the part that remembers.

6

Session 6: Publish & demo day

Publish to a live URL, test it on a phone, and present: the idea, one great prompt, and one thing the AI got wrong and how it got fixed.

What’s included

  • 6 live small-group sessions, capped at 6 students, split by age band
  • Tool accounts set up for the camp, so no student holds raw API keys
  • Deployment of each camper's app to a public URL
  • A demo on the final session for family
  • A short written coach note and a recommendation for what to take next

How to join

  1. Purchase your seat. Choose your time-zone slot at checkout and pay securely. Classes are capped at six, so seats go in the order they’re booked.
  2. We confirm the details. After checkout a coach confirms your slot and asks a few quick questions so the first class is pitched right for your child.
  3. Sit the first class risk-free. If it’s not the right fit, tell us after that class and we’ll refund you in full.

Frequently asked questions

Does my child need any experience?

No. The camp assumes zero coding and zero AI experience. The two age bands run separately, and projects are scoped so a complete beginner finishes something real in six sessions.

What are the dates and times?

The camp runs Dec 21–30, 2026: Monday to Wednesday of both weeks (Dec 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30), with no class on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year's Eve. There are two time-zone options at enrollment: an Asia/Gulf slot (afternoon in Dubai, evening in Singapore) and an Americas slot (late morning US Eastern, early morning US Pacific, evening in Dubai).

What comes after the camp?

The Spring term starts the weekend of January 8, 2027. Campers aged 10–13 usually continue into the AI App Course, and older campers into the Claude Code Bootcamp or Introduction to Machine Learning. The camp's final session ends with a short recommendation for each student.

What will my child actually have at the end?

A published web app on a link they can send to anyone (usually a profile site, a quiz, a simple tracker, or a mini game), plus a short journal of the best prompts they wrote.

Which tools are used?

Lovable, an AI app builder that turns plain-language prompts into a real, shareable app, plus an AI chat assistant for the prompting warm-ups. Accounts are set up for the camp so students never handle billing or keys.
