Learn AI-Assisted Coding Free: 19 Vetted Resources

Every link verified July 20, 2026For students ages 11–19 and their parents

Most “free AI coding resources” lists are padded with dead links, paywalled courses, and tools that quietly require adult accounts. This one isn’t. We fetched every link on this page in July 2026, confirmed what’s actually free, and checked the age rules in each platform’s terms — and we list what we rejected and why at the bottom, so you don’t waste an afternoon on a course that died in 2025.

The age-gate reality, honestly: Claude (including Claude Code) and Cursor require account holders to be 18+ under their current terms — reading their docs and courses is open to everyone, but hands-on use for under-18s belongs under a parent’s account or in a supervised program. The teen-legal self-serve stack is GitHub + Copilot Free (13+) and Replit (13+). Full details in our age-requirements directory.
